Let me to tell you about "History Building in Indonesia" about Mendut temple.
Indonesia mempunyai banyak bangunan sejarah yang selalu menarik untuk kita pelajari serahnya maupun bentuknya yang dibilang cukup menakjubkan. Karena dapat berdiri kokoh hanya dengan batu yang disusun. Mungkin kalian sudah penasaran, maka Pay Attention to read !

Mendut Temple




Mendut was a ninth - century Buddhist temple, it was located in the village Mungkid subdistrict, Magelang. Mendut was three kilometers east from Borobudur.


Mendut was the oldest of the three temples including Pawon and Borobudur. The temple built and finished during the reign of King Indra of Syailendra Dinasty. The inscription date 842, the King Indra has built a secred building named Venuvana, which means "Bamboo Forest". Duch archeologist JG de Casparis has connected the temple. It mentioned in Karangtengah inscription with Mendut Temple.

Currently, during the full moon in May or June Buddhist in Indonesia observed Vesakanual ritual by walking from Mendut passing past Pawon and end at Borobudur. The ritual took form of mass Buddhist prayer and pradashime (circumambulation) arround the temple.
